A scholarship fund in Sandy's name has been set up to present yearly scholarships to Oceanside High School seniors planning to study elementary education. It is called the Sandy Cohen Memorial Scholarship Fund. 
 

This year the award was presented to Jennifer Lease.  Howard Cohen, Sandy’s son, presented the Scholarship at the Awards Assembly June 3, 2010.
